Bucharest, 20 January 2025 – Zitec, a leader in IT and digital transformation solutions, recorded consolidated revenue of €34 million in 2024. Zitec maintained its upward trend through organic revenue growth of 13%, standing out as a trusted partner for clients in Romania and abroad, in a year with an unstable political context and economic challenges.
The past year was marked by global economic turbulence and a significant drop in demand for IT services compared with the pandemic period. Nevertheless, well-consolidated organizations continued to perform. Zitec demonstrated stability and a solid strategic direction, recording growth even in this challenging context, through diversifying its portfolio, improving the quality of its services and attracting clients from more stable markets.
"2024 was a test of resilience for us, a year in which we successfully navigated a complex economic and geopolitical context while remaining faithful to our direction and our values. We took important steps toward expansion, entering new markets such as the United Kingdom and Western Europe. We also consolidated our position in key areas such as financial services, logistics, healthcare and public administration. Innovation was at the foundation of our progress. We implemented advanced technologies based on artificial intelligence, made significant investments in R&D, and solidified strategic partnerships with global leaders such as Google, Microsoft and VTEX," said Alex Lăpușan, CEO and Co-founder of the Zitec group of companies.
This performance is owed in particular to the significant growth recorded in 2024 across the following business lines of the company:
- The retail business line grew by 23%
- The logistics business line grew by 26%
- The public sector business line grew by 450%
Although investment in the IT environment was lower in 2024, most of Zitec's clients continue to prioritize digital transformation. This allowed the company to continue supporting its clients in growing their businesses through projects that facilitated scaling, through the development of operational and financial efficiency solutions, infrastructure modernization, technology consulting, and digital marketing services.
Concretely, this growth is reflected directly in the expansion of the business portfolio, with the company adding new partners from local and international markets, alongside its already existing clients, such as Sameday, Decathlon, Regina Maria and Leroy Merlin. Among Zitec's new clients are companies such as HeyBlu (Romania), ProFiduciaria (Romania), European Athletics (Switzerland), Oliver Bonas (UK) and Sportano (Poland).
In addition, in 2024 Zitec established itself as a trusted partner in the digitalization of the public sector, offering innovative solutions based on the experience accumulated in successful projects in the private sector. Zitec supports public institutions in improving services for citizens and in developing their own internal technical capabilities, through the implementation of advanced technologies and the promotion of a fair approach focused on efficiency and transparency. With active involvement in more than 31 public tenders over the course of the year, the company played a crucial role in modernizing and optimizing key processes with a direct positive impact on the public, working with prestigious institutions such as the Ministry of Environment, the Romanian Lottery, the Authority for the Digitalization of Romania, TVR and the Romanian Post.
At the same time, the company was recognized as Google Partner of the Year for Social Impact in the EMEA region, in acknowledgment of its successful collaboration in the field of Gen AI with the Ministry of Environment and Google Cloud.
Zitec's success is reflected not only in its extensive portfolio of digital transformation solutions, but also in the development of innovative businesses in the area of digital products, such as Mirro.io and Regista.ro.
Mirro, the HRIS SaaS solution created by Zitec for performance management, recorded a doubling of revenue in 2024. Large-scale companies, including eMAG, Lactalis and Premier Restaurants România, adopted Mirro to improve the performance of their teams and manage organizational culture. The product also remains an ally in organizational transformation and evolution for medium-sized companies, with Mirro adding to its portfolio companies that are well known in their fields, such as Accace Group International, Leviatan, Lowe Group, ProCredit Bank România and Bittnet.
Regista, the solution for automating processes in public institutions and other organizations in Romania, reported revenue growth of 11% in 2024. The solution is implemented in more than 1,200 public institutions across 41 counties in Romania and has more than 102,000 users. In 2024, Regista maintained a market share of 30%.
The start of 2025 will mark the launch of a new, innovative product in the area of last-mile delivery. This sector, considered essential for the company, is an area in which Zitec has accumulated one of the most extensive bodies of experience at regional level, offering modern, high-performing software solutions.
At the foundation of all the achievements above are people, and Zitec is one of the organizations that understand that the success of a business is directly proportional to the wellbeing of the team. To that end, in 2024 the company invested more than 800,000 euros in the development, support and wellbeing of its employees.
"Through a flexible work environment, support programmes and dedicated wellbeing initiatives, we made sure that every colleague has the right context to reach their full potential, regardless of external challenges. We ended the year with an impressive colleague loyalty rate of 94.75%, a clear indicator of mutual trust and support," added Alexandru Lăpușan.
In a context marked by economic uncertainty and business challenges in 2025, Zitec reaffirms its commitment to supporting clients in developing projects with significant impact and to creating a sustainable work environment for its employees.
